What we collect

Your phone number (it's how your account works), the messages you text the gymeow number, your workout logs, and your team memberships and invitations. On the website you can add a username, a profile picture, an email, and a weekly goal — all optional.

We use one session cookie to keep you signed in on the website. No tracking cookies, no third-party analytics.

How we use it

To run gymeow: verifying sign-ins, logging workouts, showing activity to your teammates, sending the texts you'd expect (sign-in codes, replies, invite heads-ups, and opt-in teammate notifications), and letting our admins know when someone new signs up.

We don't sell your data and we don't run ads.

Who sees what

Your phone number is never shown to your group. Teammates and admins see your username, profile picture, workout logs, and goal progress. A team's public page shows the same — and only if its admins turn the public feed on. When an admin invites you by username, your number stays hidden from them too.

What your teammates post is theirs: feeds and teammate texts relay member content, and gymeow isn't responsible for it — see the Terms of Service for how that works.

Services we rely on

gymeow runs on a small set of providers that process data on our behalf: our texting provider delivers and receives the messages, our database and hosting providers store and serve the app, profile pictures live in a private storage bucket read through short-lived links, and our email provider delivers admin notifications. Workout text and profile pictures are also checked by an automated content-moderation service before a team sees them.

Retention and deletion

Your logs stay until you remove them — text “undo”, or use the edit and remove controls on your feeds. You can delete your account any time from Settings; it removes your profile, workout logs, memberships, and invitations. Prefer to ask? Text the gymeow number and we'll take care of it.

Security

Sessions are signed, tamper-proof cookies. Profile pictures sit in a private bucket. Secrets stay on the server. No system is perfect, but we keep the surface small.

Children

gymeow isn't directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top.
